CanBoat – your local Power & Sail Squadron – is at the heart of boating education, safety, outreach, and community in Canada. We are a member-supported volunteer organization dedicated to helping you develop the skills needed to enjoy everything that Canadian boating has to offer.
Located at the historically strategic gateway between the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario, Kingston is the undisputed freshwater sailing capital of North America. On a good summer day, over a thousand boats of all types cover its major waters. A plethora of minor lakes and rivers offer some of the world’s best territory for cottaging, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and watersports.
Since 1954, the Kingston Power & Sail Squadron has been the hub of boating education in this area. We work with renowned local institutions such as the Kingston Yacht Club and Collins Bay Marina to offer essential training and services to our members and to the broader boating community.
Kingston Squadron’s territory extends from the Napanee border to Ivy Lea and north to the Newboro area.
